Woran denken Sie als erstes, wenn Sie an Ihre Sprachreise denken?

I loved Langports, the school. The atmosphere was so familiar. Everybody was greeting, everybody was smiling to you. My teacher was nice. I have loved her since the first day. It was the best school I have ever went to.

I loved my host family, too. It was interesting to talk to them and help them to cook the dinner. The evenings in front of the tv were relaxed and often funny.

I spent an awesome time in Australia.

Wie war der Kursort? Die Sprachschule in Brisbane?

The school was marvellous. I have learnt a lot. The teachers were nice, the other students were nice, the classes were great. In the morning we did grammar, vocabulary and lots of idioms. It was called "Use of English". After a break we had writing, reading, listening or speaking classes. Each day one subject. The first day, I had to do a test to see how good my English had already been. You will be put in one level for "Use of English" and maybe in different levels for the other classes. For example: I was in level five in "Use of English", writing and reading but first in level four in listening and speaking. If your English improves, you can get up. It is a very good school and my English improved in leaps and bounds.

Furthermore Langports is located in the centre of Brisbane and Brisbane is a very nice city.

Was war anders im Kurs, verglichen mit Fremdsprachenunterricht z.B. an der Uni/Schule/VHS?

The lessons at Langports were much better than lessons at school. My teacher was a native English speaker. The atmosphere was very good because everybody really wanted to learn English, was interested and worked hard. You learnt lots of vocabularies, idioms and lots of things you will need, if you like to communicate with Australian or other English speaking people.

Aus welchen Ländern kamen die anderen Kursteilnehmer? War es leicht, ins Gespräch zu kommen?

The other students were from Brazil, Japan, Spain, Tahiti, New Caledonie, Argentina, Switzerland and also Germany. It was easy to talk to them. The only language which is allowed at Langports is English and you could talk to everybody in English. It was interesting to learn something about foreign countries and the way of life there. For me it was easy to find friends.

Was haben Sie nach dem Kurs unternommen bzw. haben Sie an von der Schule angeboteten Aktivitäten und Ausflügen teilgenommen?

After school I often went to the city. The first Saturday I went to the Gold Coast with school. I always did the Wednesday activity. There were lots of different activities. I joined the Corean cooking class, did Australian Bush Dancing and went to Lone Pine. Two times on Thursday I went to the pub night.

Wo und wie haben Sie gewohnt?

I lived in a host family in Graceville, a suburb of Brisbane. The family was nice. They had three little children, very cute children but sometimes a little bit loud. The father worked all day and the mother often was busy with the children but in the evenings we had dinner together and often spent some relaxed hours in front of the tv. After two weeks I talked a lot to my host parents, especially the mother and learnt some interesting things about Australia. It was wonderful.
